– Aldeia Paivafest manda portanto é para continuar esta aposta mais do que
ganha. Esta amável localidade do concelho de Arouca irá assim ser novamente o
palco deste já famoso evento de águas bravas. Para isso voltamos a contar com o
apoio da sua população, do comércio local, da Junta de Freguesia e obviamente
da nossa parceira de sempre a Câmara Municipal de Arouca. É nosso desejo
envolver mais os canoistas com a zona aonde decorre o festival e com as suas
gentes. É um ponto importante para o crescimento do nosso desporto e para a
preservação dos rios que tal aconteça. Continuaremos com actividades em Arouca
e futuramente pretendemos alargar as mesmas a outros locais que envolvem o
Paiva e a Serra da Freita.

Paivafest Village rules - this winning bet will continue.This lovely village
situated in the municipality of Arouca will be then again the main stage of
this already famous whitewater event.. In order to achieve it we have the support of its
population, the local shops, the Parish Council and, obviously, our all time
partner, the City Hall of Arouca. It is our wish to involve the
kayakers in the area where the festival is taking place and with the locals. This is important for the
evolution of our sport and the preservation of the rivers. We plan on to maintain our
activities in Arouca and eventually to extend them to other places surrounding
Paiva and Freita mountain range.

Pois é malta, este ano decidimos modernizar esta parte tão importante do
nosso festival. Se é verdade que vai ficar um bocado mais “desumana” – leia-se
mais informatizada – também é certo que o tempo que despendíamos com essa árdua
tarefa vai ser canalizado para melhorar outras áreas do encontro. Assim sendo o
pessoal a partir deste Paivafest vai ter de se inscrever online via uma
plataforma existente, isto se quiserem pagar um preço mais em conta e ficarem
habilitados a um sorteio surpresa, ou então fazê-lo localmente a partir do dia
24 à noite mas ai sem sorteio e custo ligeiramente mais caro.

Well people, this year we decided to modernize this important part of
our white water festival. If it's true that on one hand it will be less
humanized - read more computerized - on the other hand the time we were
spending on this arduous task will be used to improve some other areas. From
this PaivaFest and on the registration is on-line and grants you a nicer price
and the chance to participate in the grand surprise raffle. You can still
register locally after the 24th but with a slightly higher price and no raffle.

The registration confirmation and merchandise giveaway, as well as the
event access bracelets, will be at Café Rampinha, Alvarenga, the Portuguese
Beer Meca for any real paddler. The opening hours are:

Acampar dentro de um pavilhão, ou no seu exterior, perto do centro de Alvarenga.
Para os adeptos dos festejos nocturnos é uma boa escolha pois não há
necessidade de usar veículos. Atenção que não está munido de casas de banho
porém relativamente perto, campo de futebol local, haverá sempre a hipótese de
se tomar duches quentes.

Close to
the party, fitted with bathrooms, a large parking lot, it will certainly be a
place of election for the kayakers attending this festival. Despite being “open
air” it offers greatconditions for camping.
LARGO DA FEIRA / Fairground
Para quem tenha carrinha equipada para dormir pode optar por este local
bem no centro de Alvarenga. Será nesse espaço que serão realizados as
concentrações matinais.
A reasonable choice for those
owning camping vans because it´s right in the center of the town and it´s where
the morning meetings will take place.
PRAIA FLUVIAL DO AREINHO / Areinho river beach
Acampar junto ao rio e à casa sede do nosso clube. Tem um bom parque de
estacionamento para quem tenha carrinhas equipadas com camas. A sede do CCABP
está equipada com casa de banho para ambos os sexos.
